School Overview & Accreditation
New England College is an accredited non-profit college founded in 1946, serving over 5,000 undergraduate, graduate, and online students.
It is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). Regional accreditation is the most reliable and trustful accreditation. All programs offered by New England College are included in this regional accreditation.
Currently, NEC offers four executive programs that support Day 1 CPT, including MBA, MSDA, MSIT & Cybersecurity, and MSIT & Project Management. These executive programs are tailored to the needs of working professionals, emphasizing the practical applications of academic coursework and the benefits that advanced degrees can bring to various fields.
To accommodate the busy schedules of international students, the programs are delivered in a hybrid format, which consists of online coursework throughout the semester and a three-day (weekend) on-campus attendance each semester. The Executive Programs typically span five to six semesters, with three semesters per year.

Location & Commute
Henniker Campus
15 Main St, Henniker, NH 03242
According to Google, it's a 90-minute drive from downtown Boston. Last time CPTDog visited the campus, it took us an hour and twenty minutes, including the time needed to rent a car. The drive was quite pleasant. If you have a car, it shouldn't be a big deal, but if you don't, it might be challenging due to the lack of public transportation options in the area. If you want to carpool, consider joining the CPTDog group to find a mate to share a ride.
Why Choose NEC?
Once per semester, on campus classes will be concentrated over 3 days on campus, scheduled for the weekend (from Friday 8am β 5pm).
The duration of the MBA and Project Management & IT programs is 2 years; Data Science & Analytics and IT & Cybersecurity programs last for 20 months.
Offers four Executive specializations: MBA, Data Analytics, IT & Cybersecurity, and Project Management & IT. Except for the MBA, all are STEM-certified.
The school supports a Payment Plan, allowing tuition to be paid in installments. The tuition for CPT programs at NEC starts from $8,316 / year, which is very affordable comparing to other schools offer similar programs.
The school is a non-profit university, and graduates are eligible to participate in the Master's Cap H-1B lottery.
Flexible classes: Online courses are pre-recorded, allowing students to learn at their own pace. Students who win the H1B lottery can contact an Advisor to switch to an online program.

Day 1 CPT Policy
New England College provides a low on-site frequency option (one visit/semester) for executive programs.
The school requires students to intern or work from the first day of school while studying online and onsite courses, putting the theoretical knowledge they learned into real-world practice.
Therefore, international students can get their CPT (Curricular Practical Training) from Day 1 of the program. Students who work with CPT need to maintain their GPA above 3.0.
At NEC, internships are academic, for-credit experiences involving an agreement between an employer, a faculty sponsor, and a student. The three parties involved will create a structured experience at an employment site where the student will provide the employer with their work, talent, and energy while gaining knowledge and experience in a particular field.
Internships may be paid or unpaid and may be in private, non-profit, or government organizations.
-
New England Collegeβs academic schedule is divided into three semesters: Fall, Spring, and Summer.
-
In addition, the master's program at New England College provides students with two-term options in a quarter, allowing them to select one Term each semester (either Term I or Term II).
To complete the Day-1 CPT program, students must engage in online work during the semester and attend a three-day onsite course session each semester.
*Students are required to renew CPT every semester.
