Many law firms have been analyzing everything to the point that people are getting numb about H1B second lottery, but today, it suddenly came true!
USCIS officially announced that the H-1B lottery for the fiscal year 2024 is about to begin! Please, remember to check your MyUSCIS accounts, as the results will be out in the next few days!
According to the USCIS official website:
In March 2023, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) conducted the initial random selection process for H-1B cap petitions for the fiscal year 2024, including beneficiaries eligible for the advanced degree exemption. Only those applicants who were selected have the eligibility to submit an H-1B cap petition for the fiscal year 2024. The selected applicants for the fiscal year 2024 can submit their petitions from April 1, 2023, to June 30, 2023.
We have recently determined that we need to conduct an additional lottery to meet the quota requirements for the fiscal year 2024. Soon, we will conduct a second random selection process from the previously submitted electronic registrations to select the additional petitions. Once we complete the second round of selections and notify all the chosen applicants, we will announce the information, informing them about the eligibility to submit H-1B cap petitions for the corresponding selected beneficiaries.
The selected applicants will receive updates in their myUSCIS accounts, including notifications about the application submission time and location!
