Texas Wesleyan University’s MBA program offers robust Day 1 CPT opportunities, fully compliant with USCIS regulations. Key program features include:

Mandatory CPT Participation: The CPT/internship experience is integral to the applied MBA program, and participation is required throughout the two-year program.

Continuous Authorization: CPT begins on the first day and continues without interruption across all semesters.

Semester-Based CPT Authorization:

• CPT is granted for each semester individually, with end dates aligned to the academic term.
• Students may begin their CPT up to 30 days before classes commence.
• Applications for CPT are also accepted mid-semester, offering flexibility to students.

Application Processing: Standard CPT processing time is ten business days from the date of submission.

Work Authorization Requirements:

• Students must possess a valid CPT I-20 before starting employment.
• Employment must match the employer and dates specified on the I-20 form.
• For any employer change, students must submit a new CPT application and report any employment changes to the DSO within ten days.

• Texas Wesleyan University offers courses in a hybrid format, combining one online class with one in-person class.
• For F-1 students, attending the in-person class is compulsory; not attending could lead to the termination of their F-1 student status.
• The university mandates that students attend on-campus classes once each semester, typically over a weekend.
